Members of the University and College Union vote for strike action

Members of the University and College Union (UCU) have voted to take an escalating wave of strike action starting Thursday 22 and Friday 23 February in a dispute over changes to the pension scheme.

This may affect RCM members working in higher education who hold joint membership of the two unions. If you have been balloted please do follow the instructions of your union, the RCM has not balloted you for action, this would have been sent to you from UCU.

If you were not included in this ballot you should report for work as normal but support striking colleagues by not undertaking their duties as this may undermine the industrial action.
