What did you say?

Each year members are given the opportunity to shape the content of Midwives and respond to various questions about the direction it is going. We thought this year we would give you a flavour of the results. 

  • Practice-related content and research were the top two subject areas that members wanted to read more on, with news coming in third.
  • Nearly everyone surveyed (98%) agreed that the articles are clearly written and easy to understand.
  • 74% would like the magazine to contain more clinical/Better births guidelines.
  • Almost 60% of respondents have used tips and advice given in Midwives at work.
  • 92% of those surveyed said the content caters well for both midwife and student members.
  • It was almost a50/50 split on whether the frequency of the magazine should be increased.
  • 84% agree that the design of the cover makes them want to open the magazine.
  • The midwifery knowledge of over two-thirds (71%) has improved after reading the magazine.
  • 85% agree or strongly agree that Midwives contains invaluable information to help them do their job.
  • 94% feel the magazine’s design is attractive.
  • 81% read every issue of Midwives.
