Activists Training Race Matters
“Seeing is enough to look, but looking is not enough to see!” Mehmet Murat Ildan
As an RCM Activist, you play a key role in supporting our members. The RCM have listened to your needs and would like to be able to support you by offering a training day, which will help to grow your skills and understanding of how you can be more active in recognising and responding to potential discrimination as experienced by Black, Asian and minority ethnic colleagues. This will be a practical day, which will give you a greater understanding of how you can recognise and respond to potential allegations of racism.
The courses will be run by brap, which is an equalities and human rights, established to be an independent, transformative force in the equalities sector. For more information, please go to: www.brap.org.uk Roger Kline ( author of the Snowy White Peaks) and with several years of trade union experience, will also be supporting the content and facilitation.
